Everyone at GASC is a volunteer and gives their free time to help develop young swimmers, whether its coaches, pool side assistants and our all important committee who keep things running behind the scenes. Coaches all hold Swim England qualifications and all pool side volunteers complete DBS background checks.

Andrew Foster
Andrew has a long history of coaching with GASC. His children swam with us and he has overseen the development of many of our swimmers steering them into competitive swimming.

Dominic is the lead coach on Wednesday nights and is our current club chair.

Lucas Connolly
Is the clubs Head Coach. Of everyone in the club Lucas has a long history with competitive swimming, starting out as a swimmer at Stockport Metro at 8yrs old and moving on to become one of our most experienced coaches.

Dave Fennell
Dave is one of our longest serving coaches. His father Alan founded the GASC swimming club.

Mike G
Mike is the lead coach at New Mills Saturday session. He has was a lifeguard for Birmingham City Council, played octopush and held snorkeling leader qualifications with BSAC.

Pool Side Volunteers
The Coaches are supported by a team of poolside volunteers – parents of children at the Club, and older swimmers developing their skills.
